Meet Our Team
Emily Schmidt was born and raised in Mechanicsburg. At a young age, she developed a love for coffee and a desire to someday open a coffee shop. After marrying her husband and having three children, Emily began pursuing her dream of opening a coffee shop.
At the same time, Emily and her husband considered adopting a child. When considering adopting a child, Emily learned many older children are aging out of foster care without a permanent family or a plan for their future.
After much prayer, planning, and waiting on the Lord for His plan and timing, the idea of the Cracked Pot Coffee Shop was born! Emily decided to open a faith-based, non-profit coffee shop that will employ foster children aging out of foster care in her hometown. Emily is excited for this opportunity and what the Lord has in store for the Cracked Pot.

Shop Managers

Mary Wheeler
General Manager
Mary was born and raised in upstate New York. She met her husband, Tim, in Chicago and has been blessed with four daughters and six grandkids! Tim and Mary have been in various forms of ministry and both of them love learning about and being in the middle of different cultures. What excites Mary the most is when she can help others learn to savor Christ more than she does. Then help that person see their self worth in Jesus, help them to see the gifts He has given them and then encourage them to grow and use those gifts to make much of Jesus. The mission of The Cracked Pot does just that with those in the program!

Annika Stockbauer
Annika is currently a student at Messiah University, planning to complete a dual degree in social work and dance in 2024. Annika is passionate about serving others, expressing creativity, following Jesus, and coffee! She is so excited to be able to come alongside the wonderful staff and team of volunteers at the Cracked Pot and increase God's Kingdom! In her free time, Annika enjoys painting, baking, theology, and dancing!

Takia has been working at the Cracked Pot since November 2021. Before coming here, she gained customer and food service skills as an associate at the F&M College Home and Nursing Center. Environments of young adults pursuing their goals and dreams with passion excites Takia. She loves being invested in the personal growth of those around her. Her mentors Mike and Lindsey McConahy recommended Takia join the Cracked Pot team. Now, she believes her reason for being at this job is to work for Christ and represent him in everything she does. She loves whom the Lord is showing her she is through our youth and the other staff. Hobbies outside of work include being a mom, cooking, baking, and reading. Takia would like the reader to know, “our management team has a heart for Christ. We grow daily for this Kingdom work.”
